All members, sponsors, parents and supporters of the Old Scotch Football Club are cordially invited to the second pre-match luncheon for 2009.
Michael Sholly has been the CEO of the VAFA since 2005. Prior to this role he played senior football at Old Xaverians and then coached that club’s Club XVIII and Reserves teams in the 1980’s before coming back and coaching the senior team to the A Section title in 2003.
Michael has also had a distinguished cricket career, playing 270 District 1st XI matches for the Melbourne and Melbourne University Cricket Clubs. He captained coached 5 district premierships and 3 one day titles. He then coached the Victorian U19 cricket team for 5 seasons which included a victory in the Australian Championships. Over his career Michael has coached international players including Dean Jones, Brad Hodge, Andrew McDonald and Shane Harwood. Michael has also been a teacher at St Kevins College for 15 years and he is currently the Chairman of Premier Cricket at the MCC.
